Renowned Italian Lawyer Joins the Saving Lives Team

Another high-profile expert has joined the management team of the humanitarian project Saving Lives, operated by SCM companies founded by Rinat Akhmetov. Renowned lawyer and law professor Fabio Marazzi is now a member of the programme’s Board. His appointment strengthens the initiative’s representation within the international legal community and will help address legal matters more efficiently and effectively.

Fabio Marazzi, a graduate of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, is Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner of BMV Law Tax Finance. He has extensive experience in international commercial law, M&A transactions, extraordinary corporate operations, European Union law, and innovation and technology transfer processes.

Throughout his career, he has served and continues to serve on numerous national and international public and private boards and supervisory bodies, including ASIL, IBA, UIA, ABA, the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), and FICM-MCN, the world’s largest independent transnational dispute resolution organisation. He is also a university lecturer in EU and international law.

Marazzi becomes the fifth permanent member of the Saving Lives Program Board, joining Darijo Srna, FC Shakhtar Football Director; Horst Wiesinger, steel industry expert; Maria Grimaldi, labour relations specialist; and Manuel Tunon de Lara, President of France Universités.

This distinguished group of experts shares a common goal: helping Ukrainians living near the front line and protecting them from humanitarian disaster. The Board’s activities support the involvement of new donors and partners, optimise procurement and logistics, and strengthen the organisation’s international presence.

To date, the Saving Lives project has assisted hundreds of people living in communities located within or near combat zones. The geographical reach and scale of assistance continue to expand every day.
